“Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,” Hebrews 12:1 NKJV

The PIT Crew Strategy:

In the same way that a race car driver requires a pit crew to provide the essential maintenance, refueling and repairs to run the race, a visionary leader needs a PIT Crew (Prayer and Intercession Team) for strategic spiritual warfare in order to run the race to accomplish their God-given, Kingdom vision in ministry or the marketplace.

JoBeth Kested was asked to develop a prayer project for an intercession ministry while living in the Dallas/Fort Worth area in the year of 2000. She asked the Lord for a simple prayer strategy that would be a picture and acronym defining the importance of prayer and intercession. She also prayed that it would especially relate to men for understanding the essential value of prayer for their families and businesses. The Lord brought to mind the Indy 500 races she often watched with her Dad in her childhood and she remembered the critical skills of the pit crews that are essential in enabling the race car drivers to run their race. PIT is an acronym for Prayer and Intercession Teams and Training. The PIT Crew Strategy is a defining picture for training and mobilizing strategic prayer and intercession teams that can be linked to visionary leaders in ministry and the marketplace.

JoBeth is a strategic Crew Chief Intercessor. Strategic is a military term defining the detailed objective to destroy or render an enemy powerless by striking the sources of its military, economic, communication and governing capabilities. A Crew Chief, in both the military and the racing world, is an essential manager that is recognized for the knowledge, skill, communication and leadership strength to lead a team and for calling the shots to get the job done. JoBeth has helped to develop and direct different levels of prayer strategies for several ministries, outreaches and events. She has also been extended the opportunity to train and lead a strategic core of paid intercessors by the owners of several successful multi-million dollar businesses. The PIT Crew Strategy has been proven valuable for training and mobilizing Prayer and Intercession Teams in ministry and the marketplace.
